Service visits

The starter gate and barrier checklist covers the gate leaves or arm, hinges and posts, safety edges, photocells, stopping and reversing on an obstruction, manual release, the motor and drive, the control panel and wiring, warning signs and lights, and lubrication. You can change it.

Fail a check and the record can't be a plain pass: the engineer has to say what needs doing. The customer signs, and the record can't be changed afterwards.

Label every gate

Stick a JobNote QR label on the post or the control box. Your engineers scan it to open the gate's history and checklist. A site manager or passer-by who scans it gets your number and can report a fault, so the call comes to you.

Repairs and call-outs

• Log a call-out against the gate, with photos and what was done.
• Quote the repair on site and send it there and then.
• Invoice from the job when it's done.
